Will True AI happen?-
I think True AI will happen, possibly in my lifetime. Science is making amazing advancements every day, so it wouldn't be surprising if they create "living" computers. Also, considering the fact that we're at war, I don't think the government will be thinking much of the consequences.
Will True AI be good or bad?-
I believe that it wouldn't be bad but it wouldn't exactly be good. When there are two species that are in an uninhabitable environment, the one that evolves faster is the one that survives. It will be similar with humans and True AI. I don't think two intelligent beings can coexist, and because AI grow twice as fast every two years, AI will be the one that survives.
